ATV Publications
There are numerous publications by many organizations, both governmental and private, that are available to ATV fans that go into the details of many important ATV topics. One of the best sites for information about safety issues and safety courses is www.atvsafety.org. This is an important website that promotes ASI(The All Terrain Vehicle Safety Institue), an organization formed in 1988 to implement an expanded national program of ATV safety education and awareness.
We will make available what we consider some of the more important documents dealing with various ATV issues and we urge you to read them; especially those having to do with ATV safety. It is a little known fact that in the late 1980's, Congress was very close to passing laws that would have outlawed the ATV. This was because of numerous high profile injuries(and even fatal ones) that occurred due to reckless driving by ATV owners.
